The Board of Directors of the Central Atlantic Conference hereby calls the Forty-nineth Annual Meeting of the Central Atlantic Conference, United Church of Christ to convene on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware.
Voting Delegates: “Each local church shall be entitled to representation at meetings of the Conference by the chief lay officer designated by the local church and two lay delegates plus an additional lay delegate for each additional 500 members, or major fraction thereof, above an initial 300 members, and one (1) additional lay delegate provided such delegate is under 30 years of age. Representation shall be based on the last published edition of the Yearbook of the United Church of Christ.”
Voting Members: “Each authorized minister who has standing in any Association of the Conference shall be a voting member. Members of each Association’s governing body, members of the Conference Board of Directors, and the Conference delegates to General Synod shall be voting members. Elected members of Boards and Instrumentalities of the United Church of Christ residing in the boundaries of the Conference shall be voting members.

Deadline for registration without a late fee is May 1, 2013. After that date there will be an additional $50 charge.
What to Bring
- Bring a cup for coffee or cold drinks.
- A jacket or sweater for the plenary room.
- Tote bag for your materials
- Money to shop in the bookstore and with our vendors
- Your enthusiasm!!
Hotels – You will be notified as to which hotel you will stay at. You are responsible for all your incidentals. The room charge is covered by your registration.
Rooms at the hotels and the Towers will be available after 3:00 p.m.
Christiana Towers - On campus housing will be in the Christiana Towers. The Towers are 1 & 2 bedroom apartments with a seating area and a kitchenette. There is a refrigerator in the apartment. The apartments can accommodate 1-4 people.
You may want to bring an extra blanket, towels and pillow. You will be provided with sheets, a pillow, blanket bedspread towel and washcloth. Bring your own music or tv and a cable to hook into the cable system.
The University will charge a $130 fee for any lost room keys.
OTHER CONFERENCE HAPPENINGS
Conference Business. We urge you to print out the business items and bring them with you to the meeting. Conference business will be shown on a screen in the plenary meeting room.
Gathering for all Annual Meeting Attendees - Friday, June 7, 2013 4:00 p.m
Workshops – There will be three workshop sessions on Saturday and one on Sunday morning. We encourage you to stay over to participate in the workshop sessions
With the exception of breakfast on Sunday, all meals will be in the plenary meeting room. These meals have been sponsored by various groups of the United Church of Christ.
Wireless access will be available. It takes 20 minutes to get onto UD’s network and you must get a code. Information will be available at the meeting.
