Rev. Jennifer Keiser Knighton
A native of Pennsylvania, a graduate of Catawba College, and a graduate from Lancaster Theological Seminary.
Helping people develop their relationship with God is a privilege and an honor and is the core of her ministry. During her 40 years of ministry she had the privilege of serving four congregations. First, as an associate pastor mostly responsible for Christian Education. Following this 13 year experience, she worked in the Development Office at Lancaster Theological Seminary.
Returning to parish ministry as a Senior Pastor at Church of the Apostles, in Lancaster, PA.
Then for 26 years, served as pastor of Grace UCC in Baltimore and eventually merged this congregation with St. John’s UCC Catonsville.
This began the last 10 years of parish ministry in merging Grace and St. John’s together, thus, St. John’s Grace UCC. Each congregation has presented new challenges and areas of growth in faith and in skills for ministry.
Every adventure in life calls us closer to God through faith. The most life changing for Rev. Jenn was time in Central America responding to the call for justice and peace working to build relationships between the UCC and churches in El Salvador.
In November 2024, following God’s call lead to retirement after 44 years in the pulpit.
Living in Lewes, Delaware provides her a new opportunity to enjoy time with new faith communities and spending more time with family. Her favorite saying, “Life is God’s gift to us, and what we become is our gift to God.” The gift continues!
